We spend most of this site weighing one game against the other. On one point, though, the two titles are identical: both are gambling products in which the house keeps a share over time. Choosing the original because its published return is higher does not make it a safe bet, and nothing here will suggest otherwise.
Comparing the cost, not the income
A 98% RTP keeps about 2 of every 100 units staked over the long run, and the sequel's 95.5% keeps about 4.5. Those numbers describe how quickly money drains, not how it might grow. Neither game is a job, a side income or an investment, and any money used on them should be money you have already accepted losing.
Set your limits first
Before a session, decide a time limit and a loss limit, and stop when either is reached, even mid-run. A useful habit is to do your comparing in the free demo rather than with stakes: it runs the original with play credits, so you can feel each difficulty level without any money moving.
Warning signs worth checking yourself against
- You chase losses, or switch from one game to the other hoping the second will win it back.
- You borrow, or dip into rent, fees or household money.
- You keep your play secret from family or friends.
- You play to escape worry, loneliness or a bad day.
- You lose track of time and find a planned ten minutes has become an hour or more.
Practical barriers
- Delete casino apps and browser shortcuts so neither game is one tap away.
- Install a blocker such as Gamban or BetBlocker on your phone and computer.
- Ask a family member you trust to hold you accountable to the limits you set.
- Request self-exclusion from any operator you hold an account with.
None of these steps is a sign of weakness. Putting a barrier between yourself and a game is the same sort of planning as setting a loss limit, just done in advance, when the decision is easier to make.
Where to get help in India
Call 14416 or 1-800-891-4416 for Tele-MANAS, the free government mental-health helpline. If you would rather talk things through with a counsellor, the TISS-run iCall service takes calls on 9152987821 between 8 am and 9 pm on weekdays and Saturdays. When someone is in danger right now, ring 112. Calling either helpline does not commit you to anything; it is simply a conversation.
Over 18 only
The site, the comparisons and the demo are for adults. Parents and guardians should keep minors away from betting content, including gambling clips and apps on shared devices; cartoon artwork does not make a game suitable for children. Our terms set the age rule, and our about page explains why we point readers to the demo.
