About this game

n

Type chicken road 2 game original into a search bar and you get a jumble of thumbnails from two different games. Both come from InOut Games, both star a chicken, and both are sold to casinos rather than to players. They are not the same product, though, and the gaps affect how a session feels. This independent guide puts them next to each other; for the source of either title, look to the studio, not to this site.

The two games at a glance

  • Chicken Road (2024): a single road, four difficulty levels from Easy to Hardcore, published RTP 98%.
  • Chicken Road 2 (also 'Chicken Road 2.0'): a later, separate release with a traffic and city theme, published RTP 95.5%.
  • Shared studio, shared loop: stake, step, cash out – or get hit.
  • On this page: the embedded game is the first one, not the sequel.

Lanes and difficulty

In the first game the lane count is fixed by difficulty: Easy gives you 24, Medium 22, Hard 20 and Hardcore 15. A shorter road is not a gentler one. Harder settings push up the chance of collision on each lane, and in return the multipliers climb faster – on Medium the opening coins read 1.12x, 1.28x and 1.47x, whereas Hardcore starts at 1.63x and shows 4.95x by the third lane.

For the sequel, this page deliberately doesn't quote lane figures. Operators can run different configurations, and only numbers seen on a live build are listed here. Open the rules panel inside Chicken Road 2 and it will show the layout for the version your lobby carries.

RTP: 98% against 95.5%

Return to player is a long-run average, not a promise about tonight. A 98% figure means that across a vast number of rounds the game pays back roughly 98 of every 100 units staked; at 95.5% that falls to about 95.5. Seen the other way round, the built-in margin is 2% for the original and 4.5% for the sequel – more than double. Over a handful of rounds luck swamps both numbers, yet on paper the older game keeps a smaller slice of what you stake.

One caveat covers both: published RTP is the studio's figure, and casinos can configure versions. The game rules in your own lobby are the final word.

Theme and feel

The 2024 title keeps its screen uncluttered: one bird, one road, lane covers and multiplier coins, with the collision chance printed in the panel. The sequel relocates the action to a busier traffic scene with more going on visually. Some players enjoy the extra colour; others find the original easier to read on a small display, particularly at Hardcore pace.

Which one is embedded here

The chicken road demo on this page is the original Chicken Road. You start with 1,000,000 play credits, may pick any of the four difficulties, and get the same rules, maths and controls – MIN and MAX bet buttons, quick chips, Play, cash out and the optional Space key. If what you wanted was the chicken road game original, you have found it; the sequel is not offered on these pages.

Telling them apart in a casino lobby

Tile artwork can mislead, so check three things once a game loads: the InOut Games credit on the loading screen, the title inside the rules panel, and the RTP stated there. If the rules mention 95.5%, you are in the sequel.

Who might prefer which

If you value the higher published return and a tidy screen, the first game makes more sense on paper. If visuals matter more and you accept the lower figure, the sequel offers a fresher look. Neither version changes the basic truth that each lane is a fresh risk and the house keeps a margin over time. Try the original free here first; a few rounds on each difficulty will tell you more about your own taste than any comparison table, and it costs nothing.

Money, age and the law in India

Neither game should be played for stakes in India right now. The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act, 2025 prohibits offering, advertising and facilitating payments for online money games nationwide, so confirm the current legal position yourself before anything else. The demo involves no money. Everything here is aimed at adults: if you are under 18, close the page; if you are older, set a time and spend limit even for free play.

Both games belong to InOut Games, not to us: see how we compare them, read our site terms on commissions, and check the safer play advice before any session.

Data safety

One demo to describe: since only the original runs on this page, there is a single demo to cover – and it asks for nothing personal.

Session token: the demo server hands your browser a temporary token that holds your play-credit balance and bet history for the visit.

Server logs: routine technical data – IP address, device and browser details, timestamps – is logged for security and stability.

No cash, no card: play credits cannot be bought or withdrawn, so payment information is never requested.

If you register with a casino: whichever of the two games you open there, the operator holds your identity documents and payment history under its privacy terms.

Finally a clear side-by-side of the two games. I hadn't realised the sequel's published RTP was 95.5% against 98%. Tried the original's Hard mode in the demo – 20 lanes. Would like screenshots of the sequel too.

I kept mixing up the city version with the first one. This page explains which is which, and the demo immediately showed the four difficulty buttons, so I knew I was on the original. Good comparison.

The comparison is fine, but I came for the sequel and the demo here is only the first game. Played Hardcore anyway and got fried on lane four after seeing 4.95x. Wish both were available.
